The blue manual diesel wagon is gone, I didn’t care enough to strip it like the guy on the FP, partially since I had to drive an hour to turn it in.
Replacing it with a gas automatic crossover did make me feel sad but I wasn’t about to try and find a base model fwd just to get the 6 speed.
I know its not “really” awd, its 100% fwd until slip then witchcraft happens and it goes up to a 50/50 split. I got the awd and tc to kick in during the test drive in the rain so that was nice.
What can I say I’m a sucker for this dark blue color
I’m also contemplating personalized plates for the Mazda. VA is 7 characters if you don’t go super fancy with one of the 200+ specialty plates that only allows 6.

I’m sorry to hear of your loss. Damn you, VW.

I’m just glad it is almost over (waiting on the money transfer) but the offer was too good to pass up.

The sales manager at Mazda said they are getting a significant influx of VW owners. I am not sure if they are tracking numbers but I wouldn’t doubt it.

You’ll love your CX-5. Ours just turned four-years-old and we still really like it.

I was looking at the Mazda6, but they refuse to offer the manual in the Grand Touring. Saw an old MazdaSpeed6 at work this week and it made me wish they had announced an updated version - I would have delayed my buyback until it came out. (watch, a new one gets announced in May or something)
